A group from Birch Green recently visited the colourful Southport Botanic Gardens.
Set in nearby Churchtown and originally opened in 1874, the gardens are a great way to spend some time relaxing and taking a stroll.
We also made friends with a golden retriever called Twizzle, who works with children with autism. He was very popular with our residents who all loved him.
During the trip we also found time in between exploring to enjoy a picnic.
