The sun shone on the visitors for Birch Green’s eagerly-awaited summer fayre at the weekend.
The gardens were full of visitors including residents, staff – many on their days off – relatives, friends and families.
The fantastic event included a bouncy castle for the children, a hit-the-target stall featuring our very own General Manager, Phillippa McGrath, and a barbeque manned by Tommy, husband of our clinical lead Angela Hart. Sian, normally manning our front desk, kept everyone’s drinks topped up.
We estimate around 100 people attended the event, which raised more than £900 which will go in the residents’ fund to cover the cost of activities later this year – we’re planning to make sure every resident can attend a pantomime at Christmas if possible.
We were completely overwhelmed with the event’s success we’d like to thank everyone for their hard work – particularly Tommy for his cooking skills, and staff members Jenny, Ali and Gill who oversaw the smooth running of the fayre and even supplied entertainment.
