An unexpected visit by pupils from a local primary school saw residents at Birch Green treated to a musical show recently.
Woodlands Community Primary School, also from Skelmersdale, is running a number of activities in the run-up to the Rio Olympic Games.
The nearby school planned a parade around the local area, and thanks to a link with Birch Green – a number of mothers of pupils at the school work at the home – around 300 children stopped off in the car park to sing a special ‘song for Rio.’
Despite some bad weather, spirits were high and the colourfully dressed group brought with them flags, drums, colourful clothes and hats and lit up the day.
Thanks go out from all of us to the school for including us in their celebrations.
